Service of Papers by Electronic Means

All motions and other papers filed by counsel must include the signer’s Kansas bar registration number, complete address, telephone number, and an e-mail address. The court will approve service of motions and other papers upon opposing counsel and parties by electronic means, except for those papers required to be served by some other means. Service by e-mail is deemed complete when transmitted unless the e-mail is returned immediately as undeliverable by the recipient’s e-mail system. The filing party must include and file a certificate of service specifying the time and manner of service used.
