THE JOHNSON COUNTY DISTRICT COURT HOUSE - PROTECTION
Please choose from one of the two following free ways to
file a Protection Order:
  1. You may use the Kansas Protection Order Portal (KS POP). It is a court funded portal. You can use it to securely file for a protection order online, using a computer or a mobile device. It also has resources on domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
    You can:
    • Explore resources
    • Check Eligibility
    • Complete an application
    • File for protection (An email is sent to the District Court Clerk's office, and an email is sent to you.)


  2. Contact the Johnson County District Court Victim Assistance Unit to speak to a live person about your situation, 913-715-3004. Forms will be emailed to you with examples of how to complete the documents as well as different resources. The staff provides limited guided assistance for filling out the forms.
