The PSI unit is responsible for the preparation of misdemeanor and felony pre-sentence investigation reports as ordered by the Johnson County District Court and in accordance with the Kansas Sentencing Guidelines (available on the Kansas Sentencing Commission's website).  These reports include:

• a complete compilation of the defendant’s criminal history,
• comments from victims concerning sentencing and restitution and
• an assessment of appropriate conditions should the defendant be placed on probation supervision.
