JUVENILE RULE NO. 6

Hearings by Statements of Counsel

Upon consent of all parties, detention hearings shall be by statement of counsel.   If testimony is required, the court may continue said hearing and remand the juvenile to the detention facility for no more than 24 hours from the originally scheduled hearing to permit necessary witnesses to appear.

Upon consent of all parties, temporary custody hearings in Child in Need of Care cases shall be by statements of counsel.  If testimony is required, the court may continue said hearing and maintain the child in the same temporary custody for no more than 24 hours from the originally scheduled hearing to permit necessary witnesses to appear.
