CRIMINAL RULE NO. 2

Separate Files:  Consolidation

To facilitate compliance with Act 47 of K.S.A. Chapter 22, and requirements of expungement and computerization, each defendant shall be charged in a separate file.

Each complaint or information will name one defendant only.

Upon motion of the State, the cases of co-defendants shall be consolidated for further proceedings as provided in Rule No. 15, subject to a later motion to sever.

The Clerk of the Court shall make an individual file and open a case for each defendant charged.
