Other Marriage License Information The marriage license is ONLY valid in Kansas. No marriage license can be issued before a three (3) business-day waiting period. For example, a license applied for on Tuesday cannot be picked up until Friday. The marriage license is good for six (6) months. Blood tests ARE NOT required. The $59 application fee is non-refundable and payable in cash or money order only. Money orders should be payable to " Clerk of the District Court". The completed ORIGINAL license should be returned by person performing the ceremony. An addressed envelope will be provided with the marriage license. The address, if needed is: CLERK OF THE DISTRICT COURT Further instructions about the marriage license process including filling out and returning the marriage license, will be provided during the application process. |
