Parents Forever is a required two-hour class
for parents filing new divorce or paternity actions.
- It will inform parents about the impact of a changing family on children
- It will help parents think about and develop a parenting plan
- It will provide information on resources to help parents and children
- It will provide information on what to expect if court involvement is necessary
Eligibility: To attend, a client must have
a court order signed by a judge with the District Court of Johnson County. Out of county
clients, please call 913-715- 7400.
Cost: $75.00 per parent. It is highly
encouraged to make your payment prior to the day you are attending but no other
registration is required.
All fee payments shall be paid to the Clerk of the District Court located at 100 North Kansas Avenue, Olathe, Kansas
in the form of cash (exact change), debit/credit card, money order, or cashier’s check.

Upon payment, the Clerk’s office shall issue a receipt to the payor and enter the payment into the JIMS court file.
Time/Location: Parents Forever will be held
at 588 East Santa Fe, Suite 4000 in Olathe (about 5 blocks east of the courthouse).
Classes will be held Mondays at 5:15pm and Wednesdays at 8:15am, unless closed for
a holiday.
When attending class, you must bring your receipt of payment and have your case
number. Please allow time to arrive and be checked in prior to start time.
No one will be admitted after the class has started. No children will be allowed in class so
please make the proper arrangements.
