Night Light is a program operated by Juvenile Court Services. Court Services
Officers (CSOs) have the authority to visit juveniles at home, school, work, or
elsewhere. The program consists of CSOs teaming up with officers from local
police departments and the sheriff’s office to conduct visits during
nontraditional work hours which include:
- Home visits
- Employment visits
- School visits
- "Hot zone visits"
CSOs use the Night Light Program to:
- meet parents,
- to obtain information regarding a juvenile's probation, and
- establish residence of juvenile.
Night Light visits are unannounced and can take place on any day of the week,
usually between the hours of 5:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M.
