Any youth who has completed a Court Approved Juvenile Drug/Alcohol Evaluation
will be informed by the evaluator what recommendations will be made to the
Court. The Johnson County Drug/Alcohol Advisory Board in conjunction with
Johnson County Juvenile Court Services has classified the levels of intervention
into Options.
If a youth is recommended for one of these Options, then the components of the
specific Option must be met for successful completion.
OPTION 1 requires:
OPTION 2 requires:
- All of the requirements of Option 1 (see above) PLUS
- Outpatient counseling: a minimum of 4 to 6 individual single clinical hour
sessions
OPTION 3 requires:
- All of the requirements of Option 1 (see above) PLUS
- Outpatient counseling: a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 12 individual or group
counseling sessions. At least 1 family counseling session
OPTION 4 requires:
- Outpatient counseling: a minimum of 3 clinical hours of weekly individual, group
and family counseling for 6-12 weeks with a minimum of 3 clinical hours of
family counseling total.
- The Juvenile Drug/Alcohol Educational Series Content Objectives to be
covered during treatment
- C.O.D.E.-J. Education class
(2 hours)
- A minimum of twice a month for 4 months aftercare support services
- Random drug testing
OPTION 5 requires:
- A minimum of 6 clinical hours of weekly individual, group, and family counseling
for a period of 6-12 week with family counseling each week. Group counseling
must be primary service to client.
- The Juvenile Drug/Alcohol Education Series Content Objectives to be covered
during treatment
- C.O.D.E.-J. Education class
(2 hours)
- Relapse Education
- A minimum of 6 months of weekly aftercare support services
- Random drug testing
OPTION 6 requires:
- Residential/inpatient drug/alcohol length of stay will be determined based on
clinical need.
- Weekly family counseling
- The Juvenile Drug/Alcohol Education Series Content Objectives to be covered
during treatment
- C.O.D.E.-J. Education class
(2 hours)
- Relapse Education
- A minimum of 6 months of weekly aftercare support services
- Random drug testing
