Adult Supervision

Court Services Officers (CSOs) supervise individuals that have been placed on probation by the 10th Judicial District Courts. Within the department, there are five teams:

  • Domestic Violence
  • Fraud/Forgery
  • Intensive Supervision
  • Drug
  • Sex Offenders

While duties may vary, it is the CSO’s primary responsibility to ensure the client complies with all conditions of probation set forth by the respective District Court Judge.

Designated CSO’s provide Bond Supervision in specific cases pending sentencing.  Individuals placed on Bond Supervison:

  • Must contact their Bond Supervision Officer within 48 hours of release from custody.  Do not confuse the Bond Officer with a Bail bondsman, they perform different functions in the legal system..
  • May not own or possess firearms, ingest alcohol, or frequent places that sell alcohol, and may have other restrictions.
  • Continue to be supervised until the case is decided by the court.

You may view lists of providers for common treatment courses assigned during supervision.  You may also use the Monthly Report Form which provides information to the CSO as indicated by the client.  If directed by the CSO, clients may mail in this form to Court Services after certain requirements have been met.

If you have any further questions please call 913-715-7400 to be directed to the Duty Officer.
