Adult Therapeutic Community

The purpose of the Therapeutic Community (TC) is to reduce crowding in Kansas prisons by diverting probation condition violators to an intensive, long-term residential treatment setting.

TC opened its doors at the Residential Center in February, 1998. This 6-month drug treatment program is designed for offenders who have extensive drug abuse and criminal histories. The program is  accredited by the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services and can accommodate 27 clients, either male and female.
