Intensive Supervision Probation FAQs Q. If the judge said I am assigned to Community Corrections, does that mean I will be placed at Residential Center? A. Not necessarily. The Johnson County Department of Corrections operates several components including electronic monitoring, residential placement, and intensive supervision. The authority placing offenders under supervision with the Johnson County Department of Corrections should designate the type of placement. Q. I was granted ISP, I dont have a job, and the Judge has ordered me to work. Will you help me find work? A. Yes. Johnson County Department of Corrections offers job placement assistance. The Intensive Supervision Officers will refer job-seekers to Resource Developers that are employed by the department. The Resource Developer will assist clients in finding gainful employment Q. Ive been placed under Intensive Supervision. Does my employer have to find out? A. Yes. The Intensive Supervision Officers are required to maintain contact with employers to ensure that clients are gainfully employed and meeting the expectations of the employers. Q. Ive been placed under Intensive Supervision. Will the ISO come to my house or job site? A. Yes. Intensive Supervision Officers are required to make contact with clients in the community. Both home visits and employment visits are a component of the ISP program. |
